
Charles Slade (1797-26 July 1834) was a member of the US House of Representatives (D-IL 1) from 4 March 1833 to 26 July 1834, preceding John Reynolds. Born in Keynsham, England, he was raised in Alexandria, Virginia. He founded Carlyle, Illinois in 1818 and worked as a merchant. He served in the state house in 1820 and 1826, as a US Marshal from 1829 to 1833, and in Congress.
