Charles Read (1686-20 January 1736) was Mayor of Philadelphia from 4 October 1726 to 3 October 1727, succeeding William Hudson and preceding Thomas Lawrence. A relative of Benjamin Franklin's wife, he owned the London Coffee House and served as an alderman, sheriff, excise collector, and admiralty judge before becoming Mayor.
