Charles Muhammad was a leader of the Nation of Islam in Los Angeles during the 1990s. Following the acquittal of the LAPD officers who beat Rodney King, he asked how many more Rodney Kings and Latasha Harlins there would have to be before the Black community came together in love. Rather than love, however, the next several weeks would see the outbreak of the deadly Los Angeles riots.
