
Charles Johnson (1752-23 July 1802) was a member of the US House of Representatives (DR-NC 8) from 1801 to 1802, succeeding David Stone and preceding Thomas Wynns.
Biography[]
Charles Johnson was born in Scotland before emigrating to the Thirteen Colonies and becoming a planter in North Carolina. He served in the Continental Congress in 1781 and from 1784 to 1785, and he also served in the State Senate from 1781 to 1784, from 1788 to 1790, and 1792, and in the US House of Representatives from 1801 until his death in 1802.
