Charles Edward Hazlett (15 October 1838 – 2 July 1863) was a Lieutenant in the US Army during the American Civil War. He served as a Union artillery battery commander, and he was killed on Little Round Top at the Battle of Gettysburg.

Charles Edward Hazlett was born in Zanesville, Ohio on 15 October 1838, and he graduated from West Point in 1861. He was initially served in the US Army cavalry, but he transferred to the artillery as a lieutenant and fought at Bull Run, the Peninsula Campaign, Second Bull Run, Antietam, Fredericksburg, and Chancellorsville. In July 1863, his battery fought at the Battle of Gettysburg in Pennsylvania, and he defended Little Round Top on the orders of Gouverneur K. Warren. He was shot in the head by a sharpshooter from Devil's Den as he tended to the mortally-wounded Stephen H. Weed.
