
Charles Calvin Moore (26 February 1866-19 March 1958) was the Republican Governor of Idaho from 1 January 1923 to 3 January 1927, succeeding D.W. Davis and preceding H.C. Baldridge.
Biography[]
Charles Calvin Moore was born in Holt County, Missouri in 1866, and he became deputy county assessor in 1894 and served as county auditor from 1895 to 1898. He became a schoolteacher and realtor in Idaho and co-founded the town of Ashton, and he served in the state house from 1903 to 1906, as postmaster of Saint Anthony from 1908 to 1913, as Lieutenant Governor from 1919 to 1923, as Governor from 1923 to 1927, and as Commissioner of the General Land Office from 1929 to 1933. After leaving office, he returned to his real estate career, and he died in 1958.
