
Charles A. Chace (1822-17 July 1900) was the Democratic Mayor of Kansas City from 1880 to 1881, succeeding George M. Shelley and preceding Daniel A. Frink.
Biography[]
Charles A. Chace was born in Columbia County, New York in 1822, and he moved to Kansas City in 1860 and worked as a railroad freight agent before opening a grain and feed business. He served on the school board for eleven years before serving as Mayor from 1880 to 1881, after which he retired to Holley, New York and to Brighton, Monroe County. He died in 1900.
