Cesar Morales

Cesar Morales (died 2005) was a Mexican drug lord and the boss of the Morales Cartel of Los Toros, Baja California during the 2000s.

Biography[]

Cesar Morales was born in Baja California, California, and he worked for the drug lord Papa Muerte before branching off and founding the Morales Cartel in Los Toros. He directed his cartel from a meat factory in the city, and, by 2005, his organization was in a state of open warfare with the Virgillo Cartel. That year, he recruited the undercover DEA agent Ramiro Cruz into his organization, sending him to destroy the Virgillos' farm and steal their prized car (killing Joe Virgillo in the process), recover three stolen trucks, and blow up the Virgillos' ship. However, Morales' DEA informant, Agent Johnson, informed him of Cruz's informer status, allowing for Morales to successfully ambush a DEA team sent to crash a major drug deal of his. Ramiro escaped with the help of Morales' chauffeur Angel, an undercover policewoman, and he later tracked down and killed Morales, discovering a letter linking him to Papa Muerte, who had killed his father Ernesto Cruz back in 1989.
