Cephas Parker was an American businessman who worked as a shopkeeper in Saratoga Springs, New York during the mid-19th century. He was friends with the free African-American man Solomon Northup, and, in 1853, he was alerted to Northup's kidnapping and enslavement by the Canadian abolitionist Samuel Bass, leading to Parker traveling to Louisiana to retrieve Northup and inform his owner Edwin Epps of his freedom.
