Celeste Bastianetto (20 July 1899-25 October 1953) was an Italian Christian Democracy politician.
Biography[]
Celeste Bastianetto was born in San Dona di Piave, Veneto, Italy in 1899, and he worked as a lawyer after serving in the Royal Italian Army during World War I. In 1919, he was elected provincial councillor of the Popolari, and he was involved with Catholic scouting movements during the Interwar period. Bastianetto committed himself to the anti-fascist cause during the Italian Civil War, fighting for the liberation of Italy. In 1948, he was elected a Senator as a Christian Democracy member, but he resigned in 1952 for health reasons, and he died in 1953.
