Muslims/Moors of Spanish/Portuguese or mixed Muslim and Iberian descent that lived in Spain at the time of the Reconquista. They are similar to Mozarabs in that they were mostly Iberians living within the lands controlled by the Moors, but the term "Muladi" refers to Iberian peoples who converted to Islam, while Mozarabs remained Christian.
