Carrie Marie Underwood (10 March 1983-) was an American country singer-songwriter. Born in Muskogee, Oklahoma, she won the fourth season of American Idol in 2005 and became a judge on that show in 2025; in 2005, she released the best-selling debut album of all time by a solo female country artist and went on to earn eight Grammy Awards and become the highest-certified female country artist.

A practicing evangelical Christian, she performed at Republican politician Donald Trump's 2025 presidential inauguration.
