Caroline Lucas (born 9 December 1960) was the GPEW MP of Brighton Pavilion from 6 May 2010 to 30 May 2024, succeeding David Lepper and preceding Siân Berry.
Biography[]
Caroline Lucas was born in Malvern, Worcestershire, England in 1960 to middle-class Conservative parents, and she worked as a press officer for Oxfam before becoming active in the GPEW. She served as MEP for South East England from 1999 to 2010 and as MP for Brighton Pavilion from 2010 to 2024, and she also led the GPEW from 2008 to 2012 and from 2016 to 2018.
