Carlton Brandaga Curtis (17 December 1811-17 March 1883) was a member of the US House of Representatives (D-PA 23) from 4 March 1851 to 3 March 1853 (succeeding James Thompson and preceding Michael Carver Trout), from PA-24 from 4 March 1853 to 3 March 1855 (succeeding Alfred Gilmore and preceding David Barclay), and from PA-19 from 4 March 1873 to 3 March 1875 (succeeding Glenni William Scofield and preceding Levi Maish).
Biography[]
Carlton Brandaga Curtis was born in Mayville, New York in 1811, and he studied law in Erie, Pennsylvania before becoming a lawyer in Warren in 1834. He served in the State House from 1836 to 1838 and in the US House of Representatives from 1851 to 1855 and from 1873 to 1875, firstly as a Democrat, and, from 1873, as a Republican. He died in Erie in 1883.
