Carlos "Carlillos" Tirado Lizarraga (?-15 February 2005) was a Tijuana Cartel enforcer. In 2002, he was forced to betray his boss, Ramon Arellano Felix, to the Sinaloa Cartel after his sister Aracely was kidnapped, and he was killed by Benjamin Arellano Felix for his betrayal.
Biography[]
Carlos Tirado Lizarraga worked for Ismael Zambada Garcia and the Sinaloa Cartel for quite some time, and he was able to send his sister Aracely to the United States to be safe. "Carlillos" later joined the Tijuana Cartel, led by the brothers Benjamin and Ramon Arellano Felix. In 2002, Joaquin Guzman Loera decided to convince Carlillos to betray the Arellano Felix brothers. Guzman's co-leader Zambada called Tirado as he was driving in a vehicle with Ramon Arellano Felix, and he attempted to convince him to betray his bosses; Tirado first hung up on him and later pretended that he was arguing with a mistress to prevent the bloodthirsty brothers from killing him. Zambada told Tirado that he would be killed if anybody found out that Carlillos was talking with an enemy of the family, giving him something to think about. Later, Guzman arranged for his henchman Tono to entrap Tirado into working for the Sinaloa Cartel by having Tirado's sister Aracely kidnapped during a visit to her brother in Mazatlan. Carlillos decided to work with the Sinaloa Cartel, luring Ramon to Mazatlan by claiming that Zambada was attending the carnival with just two bodyguards. At the carnival parade, Ramon and his bodyguard Alambra were gunned down by two hitmen as Tirado distracted them.

Benjamin Arellano Felix was bent on avenging Ramon's death, and he sensed that Carlillos was behind the murder due to his sudden disappearance. Carlillos purchased bus tickets for himself and Aracely, and as he pulled Aracely away from a window to ensure that nobody could see them, he noticed a car waiting outside, and realized that Aracely was followed. He sent Aracely out of his room with her suitcase, and she managed to flee after seeing the gunman. The gunman then kicked open Tirado's door, and Tirado shot the gunman in the chest before being gunned down. The wounded gunman proceeded to escape.
