
Carlos Maldonado Curti (21 July 1963-) was President of the Social Democrat Radical Party of Chile from 27 August 2018, succeeding Ernesto Velasco Rodriguez.
Biography[]
Carlos Maldonado Curti was born in Valparaiso, Chile in 1963, and he joined the Radical Party of Chile while studying at university. In 1989, Senator-elect Carlos Gonzalez Marquez requested Maldonado to serve as his chief of staff, and he went on to serve as Assistant Secretary General of the Government of Chile from 2006 to 2007 and as Minister of Justice from 2007 to 2010. In 2018, he became President of the Social Democrat Radical Party.
