
Carlos Freile Larrea (1876-23 April 1942) was President of Ecuador from 27 August to 1 September 1932, succeeding Alfredo Baquerizo and preceding Alberto Guerrero Martinez.
Biography[]
Carlos Freile Larrea was born in Riobamba, Ecuador in 1876, and he served as Governor of Chimborazo from 1915 to 1916, as treasurer of Riobamba in 1929, as acting President in 1932 (during which he presided over the Four Day War), as Public Works Minister from 1938 to 1939, and as Finance Minister from 1939 to 1940. He died in 1942.
