Carl Boberg (16 August 1859 – 7 January 1940) was a Swedish politician and poet who wrote the Christian poem "O Store Gud", which later became the English-language hymn "How Great Thou Art" after being translated by Stuart K. Hine.

Carl Boberg was born in Monsteras, Smaland, Sweden in 1859, and he worked as a sailor before becoming a lay Protestant missionary. From 1890 to 1916, he edited a weekly Christian newspaper, and he served in the Riksdag as a conservative from 1912 to 1931. He died in 1940.
