The Capture of Rudolfo Yana occurred in 2019 when American special forces captured the Santa Blanca Cartel's production head Rudolfo "El Yayo" Yana in a raid on his mansion in Bolivia's Espiritu Santo department.
After he was caught cutting the purity of the cartel's cocaine, El Yayo was placed under house arrest by cartel boss Rodrigo Carlos Pérez Morales. CIA agent Karen Bowman dispatched Major Anthony Perryman and his Ghost Recon team to rescue El Yayo and bring him in for interrogation, as he was the last cartel officer in the production network. The Americans took a helicopter from Villa Verde Province to Espiritu Santo, landing in a field near El Yayo's mansion. Perryman and his team used silenced weapons to stealthily clear the compound, after which they secured El Yayo and flew him to a Kataris 26 safehouse for interrogation. El Yayo agreed to cooperate with the Americans as long as they rescued his family, who would likely be targeted by the cartel. The Americans promptly flew to Bahia Floresta, where they came under heavy fire from cartel sicarios while fighting their way to the home of El Yayo's wife Rosa and son Chuwi. The Ghosts were able to extract the two and take them back to the CIA safehouse, where Chuwi berated his father's criminal involvement, and Yayo was persuaded to make things right by helping to take down the cartel.
