The Capture of Leon (early December 1811) was a battle of the Peninsular War that occurred when the 427-strong Allied army of Viscount Wellington conquered the city of Leon in northern Spain. The garrison of 840 French troops, led by Louis-Joseph d'Aubigne, was forced to capitulate after the Allies stormed the city with 57 losses, and the Leon region was occupied by the British.
