The Capture of Caceres (late April 1811) was a battle of the Peninsular War that occurred when an Allied army of 464 troops under General William Carr Beresford and guerrilla leader Ramon Noriega Garcia assaulted the city of Caceres, defended by 753 French troops under Fabien Villeneuve. The Allied forces assaulted the weakly-defended city, and they succeeded in capturing the city with 103 losses. The British liberated the city, and guerrilla leader Miguel Quero and his band joined forces with the Allied army.
