Captain Qawurd of Bedouin Company (2 March 739-) was the Captain of Bedouin Company from 769.
Biography[]
Qawurd was born on 2 March 739 to a family of Shia Muslim Bedouin, probably in Yemen. He became the captain of Bedouin Company, a band of Bedouin mercenaries, and he was employed by King Yusuf of Berbera with his company on many occasions, starting with his 769 conquest of the Shirazid Emirate in East Africa. The Bedouin Company and the Arab Company would both see continued service in Berbera for scores more years.
