Captain Anselm (1239-59) was an English general.
Biography[]
Captain Anselm was a commander of England, and in 1259 he was responsible for the attack on the Irish stronghold of Athenry. His capture of the city proved his worth, and King Henry III of England considered adopting him. However, the adoption was not completed, as Anselm had suddenly passed away.
