Caio Caxias (1956-2007) was a PTB deputy from 2000 to 2007. On election week of mid-2005, he decided to switch his allegiance to the Workers' Party of Brazil, but he lost his seat in the Chamber that same week. In 2007, just a week after returning to the Chamber, he was found dead under suspicious circumstances, with some claiming that the PTB was responsible for his assassination. Thiago Londres succeeded him.
