Caimanes is a swampy province in Bolivia, with Puerto Chico as its capital. Caimanes is a prolongation of the Pantanal Swamp of Brazil and one of the two spillways of the Amazonian forest, and it experiences an annual flood. The Rio Habana drains the Caimanes swamp and purs into a large river that opens itself in the south Atlantic. Caimanes is sparsely populated, and its villages of Puerto Chico, Frontera, and Ingani are centers of fishing and caiman hunting. The Santa Blanca Cartel used remote Caimanes to base its submarine fleet, which carried several tons of cocaine toward consumption countries like the United States. Russian engineers built nuclear submarines for the cartel, but the United States' Ghost Recon special forces team destroyed the submarine fleet as part of Operation Kingslayer in 2019.
