The Confederacion Nacional de Trabajo (CNT) is a Spanish confederation of anarcho-syndicalist labor unions which was founded in 1910. The CNT played a major role in the Spanish labor movement ever since its creation, and the CNT focused its efforts on self-management, federalism, and mutual aid. During the Spanish Civil War, the CNT backed the socialist Second Spanish Republic, and around 10,000 foreigners jointed the anarchist CNT during the war.
