Butch "the Little Guy" DeConcini (January 16, 1947-) was a boss of the Lupertazzi crime family from 2007, succeeding Phil Leotardo.
Biography[]
Butch DeConcini was originally a capo in the Lupertazzi crime family, but Phil Leotardo elevated him to underboss after becoming acting boss of the family. DeConcini became one of Leotardo's closest advisors and most trusted lieutenants, and DeConcini advocated the murder of DiMeo crime family boss Tony Soprano after he blew up Leotardo's wire room in Brooklyn in 2006, following Leotardo's unilateral murder of Vito Spatafore. DeConcini later oversaw the assassination of Lupertazzi boss Faustino Santoro in order to allow for Leotardo to return to power, and he became permanent underboss when Leotardo became full boss of the family. DeConcini's old hatred of the DiMeo family would be put aside in 2007 after Leotardo's plan to wipe out the DiMeo family leadership failed, and DeConcini and Albie Cianflone decided to make peace with Soprano by allowing him to kill Leotardo. DeConcini took over as boss after Leotardo's death.
