Bussho Minamizawa

Bussho Minamizawa (1983-) was a Japanese comedian who, along with Tsugahara Kitagawa, formed half of the Osaka-based "Mars Fighters" comedy duo during the 2000s. The duo broke up in 2006 because of the duo's poor reception at comedy shows and Kitagawa's lack of faith in the duo's future, but, on 17 December 2006, Minamizawa and Kitagawa reunited by chance on the streets of Dotonbori after Kitagawa, attempting to pass himself off as a yakuza, attempted to jump Kazuma Kiryu shortly after Kiryu had met Minamizawa at a bar. Kiryu beat down Kitagawa, who told Minamizawa of his reasons for leaving the duo. However, as the two men caught up, Kitagawa realized that he was the foolish one and that Minamizawa was the man with catchy comebacks, and the duo decided to reform the "Mars Fighters", this time with Kitagawa as the "funny man" and Minamizawa as the "straight man".
