Burt Callahan

Burt Callahan (1926-1968) was an NOPD policeman in New Orleans during the 1960s. In 1968, he was sent to Joey's All American Diner to investigate the beating of manager Chester Blackwell, who had been punched once and knocked out by Lincoln Clay after he denied Clay service. When Clay returned to the restaurant, he killed Callahan's deputy Archie Saunders with his bare hands and shot Callahan dead with a pistol.
