Bullworth Academy's coat of arms and motto.

Bullworth Academy is an independent American boarding school located in Bullworth, New Hampshire. Styled after the neo-Gothic colleges of England, Bullworth has a reputation for being one of the toughest schools in the United States, stating in their prospectus to have "a fine tradition of stern discipline". Its transfer rate attests to this fact, being notorious for its high concentration of bullying. Bullworth offers mathematics, fine arts, and several athletic programs for its classes.

In 2007, transfer student Jimmy Hopkins managed to stop the extremely high amount of bullying in his freshman year, though unfortunately, this continued after he graduated from Bullworth. A riot took place at Bullworth Academy during this time, orchestrated by Gary Smith. However, Hopkins stopped the riot and had Smith expelled.

Structure and buildings[]

Bullworth Academy has many main buildings. The primary point of interest is the aptly named Main Building, where most classes are taught. Boys and girls are separated into their own dorm buildings, with the Girls' Dorm being a much taller, cleaner, and generally nicer building than the Boys' Dorm, which has only one floor and is typically filthy due to janitorial avoidance.

The campus is structured around the Main Building, with a roundabout walkway around it leading to a majority of the campus. To its left, from the gate, is the Library where the Bullworth Astronomy Club typically hangs out at, led by Earnest Jones. The Library's right alleyway holds an entrance to the Observatory, which is the Club's main base of operations. To the Main Building's right is the car park, connecting to the Shop and garages; this is where Johnny Vincent's gang of 50s inspired greasers hang out.

At the back of the main building is a four-way pathway: to the left is the Harrington House, which the wealthy children use as a hangout. Directly across from the Main Building is the Gym, the connected pool, and the football field at the back; there is also a hidden entrance to the Observatory here. The Bullworth Bullhorns, led by quarterback Ted Thompson, have a clubhouse next to the football field. Finally, to the right, is another entrance to the Shop and its surrounding garages.
