Several dead Bulgarin assassins, 2008

The Bulgarin crime family was a Russian Mafia crime syndicate that was led by Ray Bulgarin, who ran an international human trafficking ring. The family was involved in human trafficking in the Adriatic Sea, leading to Bulgarin's deportation from the United States in 1989 for receiving Albanian sex slaves in New York City's harbor. The Bulgarin family had a strong presence in the former Yugoslavia and parts of Italy and Albania, and Ray Bulgarin decided to expand his operations to America again in 2008. Bulgarin moved into his sister's Forest Hills, Queens home alongside his bodyguard Timur Ovchinnikov, and he also brought a small army of enforcers with him. He allied with Dimitri Rascalov and the Faustin crime family, and he attempted to locate $2,000,000 worth of diamonds that had been stolen from him by "the Cook". He attempted to kill several people suspected of being involved in the theft, including Niko Bellic, the Cook, and Luis Fernando Lopez, the latter of whom had helped him with killing Marki Ashvilli and taking over ownership of the New York Rangers hockey team. This led to his downfall, as Lopez managed to kill the majority of his enforcers and Ovchinnikov before blowing him up in his private jet as it took off from JFK International Airport. Bulgarin's death eliminated his gang, leaving just the Petrovic crime family as the dominant Russian gang in New York.
