Buddy Carter

Earl Leroy "Buddy" Carter (born 6 September 1957) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-GA 1) from 3 January 2015, succeeding Jack Kingston.

Biography[]

Earl Leroy Carter was born in Garden City, Georgia in 1957, and he served on the planning and zoning committee of Porter, Georgia from 1989 to 1993, on the city council from 1994 to 1995, as Mayor from 1996 to 2004, in the State House of Representatives from 2006 to 2010, and in the State Senate from 2010 to 2014, when he was elected to the US House of Representatives. He held strongly conservative views, and he was a member of the Republican Party.
