
Bruce Cutler (born 29 April 1948) was an American criminal defense lawyer who defended New York City mobster John Gotti.
Biography[]
Bruce Cutler graduated from Brooklyn Law School to become a criminal defense lawyer, and he was inspired by his father's pro-labor, pro-union loyalties to adopt a Franklin D. Roosevelt-style social democratic position. During the 1980s, working as a criminal defense lawyer, he achieved three acquittals for his client John Gotti, the infamous New York mobster. In 2007, he also defended music producer Phil Spector during his murder trial.
