British 3rd Infantry Division

The British 3rd "Iron" Division was a regular army division of the British Army that was first created in 1809 by Arthur Wellesley as a part of the combined army of the United Kingdom and Portugal during the Peninsular War against France. The division fought at the Battle of Waterloo, Crimean War, Second Boer War, Battle of France, and Operation Overlord, and the division ended World War II in Germany after taking Lingen and Bremen. The division still exists, headquartered at Andover.
