Brit HaBirionim was a fascist political party in Israel that existed from 1930 to 1933. The party was formed in response to the Jewish people of Mandatory Palestine's disappointment with the ability of Haganah to protect them from the Arab massacres of 1929, such as Hebron and Safed, and it sought to create a fascist corporatist state. The party rejected communism, liberalism, and socialism, condemning liberal Zionists for only working with the middle-class and not the entire Jewish nation. With a motto of "Conquer or die", it called for a war on anti-Semitism, the creation of an independent Zionist federation, and a war on corruption, and the party was involved in anti-Jewish deportation protests, demonstrations against visiting British dignitaries, interrupting census-taking, blowing the shofar horn at the forbidden Western Wall, and removing the Nazi flags from two German consulates. In 1933, the group's assassination of socialist Mapai leader Haim Arlosoroff led to a the group's demise, as it lost its popularity.
