
Brian Jeffery Mast (born 10 July 1980) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-FL 18) from 3 January 2017, succeeding Patrick Murphy.
Biography[]
Brian Jeffery Mast was born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and he served as a combat engineer in the US Army from 2000 to 2011, losing both of his legs and one of his fingers in an IED attack during the Afghanistan War. He then became an explosives specialist for the Department of Homeland Security, and he was elected to the US House of Representatives in 2016. He unanimously and wholeheartedly supported Donald Trump during the 2016 presidential election, although he was disgusted by Trump's comments on women.
