Branko Grujic

Branko Grujic (born 8 August 1944) was a Serb Democratic Party leader during the Croatian War of Independence.

Biography[]

Branko Grujic was born in Zvornik, SR Bosnia and Herzegovina, SFR Yugoslavia in 1944, and he became President of the Crisis Staff in Serb-occupied Zvornik during the Bosnian War. As a member of the nationalist Serb Democratic Party, Grujic was tasked with overseeing the forcible deportation of Bosniaks during the war. In 1992, he was one of the men responsible for the murder of 22 Bosniaks and the deportation of 1,822 in the Zvornik massacre. On 22 November 2010, he was sentenced to 6 years of imprisonment for war crimes.
