The Bowery Gang was a small gang of hoodlums operating out of Little Italy, New York City in 1945. The gang was led by Mike Brody, and it also consisted of Stefano Gambaro, Alberto Castanza, and Aldo Trapani. The gang took part in small-time heists, and Trapani's mother Serafina Trapani pleaded with Don Vito Corleone to rescue her son from the gang. Corleone sent Luca Brasi to rescue Trapani from Brody, with Brasi killing Brody with a tire iron before assisting Trapani with killing the other criminals. Trapani proceeded to become a member of the Corleone crime family.
