Bosque Miranda was a Spanish settlement located near present-day Miranda, Humboldt County, California. The town was founded along a Native American trade route, and the Spanish built trading posts along the route to prosper from commerce with the local tribes. The colony soon entered into a rivalry with the Russian colony of New Donetsk over trade, resulting in the Battle of the Ivanov Trail and the destruction of the Russian colony shortly after.
