Boris Kidric (10 April 1912 – 11 April 1953) was Prime Minister of Slovenia from 5 May 1945 to June 1946, preceding Miha Marinko.
Biography[]
Boris Kidric was born on 10 April 1912 in Vienna, Austria-Hungary to a family of Catholic Slovenes. In the early 1930s, he joined the Communist Party of Yugoslavia and was one of the leaders of the Slovene Partisans during World War II, and following the war he was made Prime Minister of Slovenia under Josip Broz Tito's communist government of Yugoslavia. He died of leukemia in Belgrade in 1953 at the age of 41.
