Borghild the Alewife's Bane (840-) was a Danish flyter who lived in Pickering, North Yorkshire during the 9th century AD. In January of 876 AD, she challenged the Norwegian Viking warrior Eivor to a flyting contest over a brew when he came to visit the town, and they both intoxicated themselves before the match was over, although Borghild conceded to Eivor and gave him his silver prize.
