Boonsboro MD

Boonsboro is a town in Washington County, Maryland, located at the foot of South Mountain. Boonsboro was founded by George Boone, a cousin of Daniel Boone, in 1792 and was incorporated in 1831. Located along the old National Road, Boonsboro was the site of the Battle of South Mountain and the Battle of Antietam in September 1862. By 2020, Boonsboro had a population of 3,799 people, of whom 95.4% were white, 2.7% Hispanic, 2.1% Black, and 1% Asian.
