Biography[]
Bogic Bogicevic was born in Ugljevik, Yugoslavia in 1953, and he was a Bosnian Serb. A member of the League of Communists of Yugoslavia, he was elected as a member of the Yugoslav Presidency in 1989. On 12 March 1991, he famously refused to vote in favor of implementing martial law in Slovenia and Croatia to put down the secessionist movements, saying "I am a Serb, but not by profession." He then lost his salary as a member of the presidency, and he would join the Social Democratic Party of Bosnia and Herzegovina as its vice-president.
