Born in New York City to an Italian family, Bobbie Cappalinni became a Cuneo crime family associate, running the family's cigar racket from the basement of Alberto Cuneo, Jr.'s Primola grocery store in Hell's Kitchen. In December 1945, Corleone crime family enforcer Aldo Trapani forced Cappalinni to change allegiance to the Corleones.
