Bo Beck (died 1728) was an English naval captain who commanded the light sloop Grim Reaper during the Golden Age of Piracy. In 1728, Jolly Roger hired Bo Beck to rescue Captain Jack Sparrow from Rambleshack jail and hand him over, but Sparrow paid Beck double what Roger had promised to instead genuinely rescue him and transport Morgan Roscrow to Port Royal. Beck agreed, but, before he and Roscrow could escape, Jolly Roger and his ship, the Harkaway, emerged from the mist to confront Beck. Beck confessed to his treachery, joking that the price of loyalty had gone up, but an unamused Roger transformed Beck into one of his undead crewmen with his supernatural breath.
