The Bloody Eye was a Japanese street gang which was based in Kabukicho, Tokyo during the 2000s. The red-clad Bloody Eye was one of Kabukicho's three "color gangs" during their heyday, the others being the blue-clad Blue Z and the white-clad White Edge. The three gangs were often hired by Tokyo's larger crime syndicates, the yakuza and the triads, to do their dirty work for them. On 9 December 2005, Lau Ka Long hired the Bloody Eye to kidnap Haruka Sawamura from West Park as the Blue Z and White Edge torched the homeless encampment as a distraction. Haruka's protector Kazuma Kiryu discovered the Bloody Eye's responsibility for Haruka's kidnapping after taking down the Blue Z and White Edge gangs, and he confronted their leaders Big Akai and Little Akai at Debolah, beat them and their minions down, and forced Big Akai to reveal that Lau Ka Long had hired them. Shortly after, the humiliated Bloody Eye gang disbanded, and the Akai brothers decided to start a wildly successful pornography production company.
