Biography[]

Early Life and Career[]

Blair Reddington was born in 1965 in New England, USA to the prominent Reddington family. The New England Reddingtons could trace their lineage all the way back to the arrival of the first colonists. Growing up, Blair benefitted with many luxuries that came from such lineage, visiting many foreign countries from a young age and getting the best possible education a money could buy.

However, that all changed one day when it was discovered that the century-long Reddington fortune was built on debt slavery, worker exploitation, and corruption of foreign nations, with the amounting bad press costing the family fortune tens upon thousands of dollars, which led to the family's business declaring bankruptcy. Following this, Blair was left to fend for himself. Wanting to avoid dealing with the world's media, Blair reconnected with old friends from college, and joined their hunting lodge in Vietnam, and continues to indulge in his expensive habits, which forces him to start making on his own. Taking the suggestions of his fellow lodge members, Reddington traveled to Africa in order to engage in a bit of organized poaching, and quickly built up a network of eager businessmen, socialites, and politicians willing to offhand all kinds of wildlife contraband, with Reddington suddenly becoming a sought-after individual.

With this, his poaching efforts in Africa growing and expanding rapidly from simple ivory trade to collecting rare animals and parts of animals all over the world for wealthy clients who not only paid him, but also opened him to their own private circles. Reddington himself also became a pretty prolific poacher, with some notable animals that he poached being:

  • Clara the Rhino
  • Warthog the Movie Pig
  • A Norwegian King Moose
  • A rare reindeer of unspecified species
  • A Bengal tiger
  • A swordfish
  • and a Danish monkey, which he preserved instead

Reddington quickly became the leader of the lodge, which he renamed to The Lodge, and became infamous for willingness to work with anyone and everyone to get his quarry, be they despots, warmongers, and drug lords. His recent trips have seen multiple instances of guides being mauled by dangerous animals and there is speculation he uses locals as possible bait for the increasingly risky ventures he finds himself on. He also started something called a "Black Book" - a think stylized notebook that contained list of all the animals he has poached throughout his career (including the aformentioned seven notable animals), as well as the names of the Lodge members, bribed politicians, and other officials affiliated with The Lodge, which he kept on himself most of the time.

Death[]

At some point in time an unnamed individual had learned of Reddington and The Lodge's activities, and had spent a decent amount of time attempting to shut down The Lodge. Eventually, the individual had made contact with Agent 47, and hired him to assassinate Reddington, and retrieve the Black Book. At the time, Reddington had arrived in Santa Fortuna, Colombia, and set up camp there, with his intentions being to roam the jungle to hunt the rare Cloud Serpent, for which he was most unsuccesful. A highly superstitious man, Blair spent most of his trip to Colombia in the hut of shaman named Taita, wanting to get the good blessing in order to catch the serpent.

Around the early July in 2020, 47 arrived in Santa Fortuna, arrived in the jungle, and assassinated Blair Reddington, while also retrieving the book for the client, who used it to permanently shut the Lodge down.
