Biography[]

Henry Adams was born in England in 1610, and he moved to the Caribbean as a settler. Adams decided to become a pirate, launching attacks on Spanish and English shipping in the region. "Black Harry" captained the Morning Star, and he became a notorious pirate, with Governor Patrick Ainslee isssuing a bounty for him; Ainslee was eager to find out the location of the treasure of Cutthroat Island, which had been mapped out by Black Harry's father. Black Harry wrote a part of the map on his scalp, hiding it well. In 1668, his brother Dawg Brown had him shot when he refused to give up his part of the map, and Harry was taken onto a rowboat by his daughter Morgan Adams, who received news of her father's capture. Harry had his daughter shave his head, and she scalped him after he died, taking the map piece for herself.
