Bishop Enzo of Krk (born 7 May 778) was the son of Doge Giovanni of Venice and Aikaterine Amalfinos.
Biography[]
Enzo was born on 7 May 778 to the House of Galbaio, a dynasty of Catholic Italians. Enzo was the son of Doge Giovanni of Venice and Aikaterine Amalfinos; his father was the ruler of the Republic of Venice, while his mother was from the House of Amalfinos, one of the major patrician families of the Republic of Amalfi. Enzo was betrothed to Matasuntha Ursingi after July 784, and in 794 he married her. In 795, he was made Bishop of Krk, forcing him to divorce his wife, who remarried to Gastone.
