The Birmingham Boys were an English street gang based in Birmingham and London from the 1910s to the 1930s. The gang was founded by Billy Kimber, who controlled racecourses in the Midlands in northern England before expanding into southern England from his secondary base at Islington. The gang attacked Jewish bookmakers in the East End of London, so they called on the Italian Sabini Gang for protection; conversely, the Lee Family of Birmingham attacked the Birmingham Boys' bookmakers in Birmingham, so Kimber was forced to ally with his rivals, the Peaky Blinders, who were led by Tommy Shelby. Kimber was shot dead during a 1919 gang war with the Peaky Blinders, and his gang disappeared during the 1930s.
